I have registered for graduation. How do I arrange a refund?
You are eligible for a refund of ticket(s) purchased, alternatively we can defer your tickets to the rescheduled date (once confirmed). If the new date is not possible for you, you can defer again in the same year or cancel and apply for a refund at that point.

When will a new date be scheduled?
The University will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and at this stage, we are unable to confirm a rescheduled date but we will keep you updated via your personal email once a definite date is confirmed. We will do our utmost to accommodate another date in 2020.

How will I be contacted when the Ceremony has been rescheduled?
All correspondence will be via email to your personal email address. Information will also be published on the University website.

Will I still receive my degree transcript & certificate?
Yes, you can collect your degree certificate on 6th April 2020 onwards at Level 4, Administration Services during office hours. You may email to to request your degree transcript & certificate to be posted. Please provide us with your mailing address & contact number for us to confirm on the courier charges.

My student pass will expire soon; will I need to cancel?
Yes, you are required to submit an online exit application for cancellation. Kindly refer to for more information.

Will the University reimburse for any travel & accommodation costs?
The University recognises that postponing the graduation may have affected your travel arrangements to Malaysia. Whilst we are sympathetic to your circumstances, the decision to postpone the Graduation, due to the outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19), was taken in order to safeguard the health of our former and current students, as well as their relatives, our members of staff and the general public. We at APU are doing everything possible to ensure our community is protected. The outbreak itself is outside the University’s control and we cannot offer you compensation for any additional costs incurred in preparation to attend Graduation.

We would advise you to contact your airline for information on cancelling or delaying your trip to Malaysia. Similarly, if you have travel insurance, we would advise you to contact your provider for information regarding the extent of your coverage in these circumstances.

Can I defer my graduation to a later date?
If you are unable to attend the rescheduled graduation ceremony, you may request a deferral to the next ceremony in the same year and we will do our best to accommodate you. Please email to together with your details.
